These pads are very thin and require no retention pants to hold them in position. They are worn between the tights with the waffled side toward the body. They are almost unnoticeable under the tights. The lack of bulk has made them very popular among young skaters, who want the protection, but will not accept the appearance that other hip pads have. The following are circumference measurements of the leg taken two (2) inches above the kneecap. They should be used as guidelines for selecting the proper size Skaters’ Kneepad. The important consideration is that the side flap covers the side of the knee adequately without extending too far around the leg.

KNEE CIRCUMFERENCE

Small - 11” to 12.5”

Medium - 13” to 14.5”

Large - 15” to Up
